The Lithuanian Association of Literary Translators announced that Ucho igielne (Adatos ąsa, “The Needle’s Eye”), translated by the outstanding translator Kazys Uscili, was declared the Translation of the Year 2020. The publication of the novel was supported by the Book Institute as part of the ©POLAND Translation Programme.
A translation of Ryszard Krynicki’s poetry collection Kamień, szron (“Stone, Hoar Frost”) will be published in France in May. The author of both the translation and the introduction is Isabelle Macor. The edition will be published with the support of the ©Poland Translation Programme.
The English translation of Szczepan Twardoch’s Król (“The King of Warsaw”) made it to the grand final of the fourth edition of the international award of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The book published under the title The King of Warsaw was translated by Sean Bye.
