The presentation of Janusz Korczak’s book Józki, Jaśki i Franki (“Joeys, Johnnies and Frankies”) took place on Thursday at the Polish Institute in Budapest with the participation of representatives of the Hungarian Pedagogical Society, which published the book. The publication of the translation of the book was supported by the Book Institute as part of the ©Poland Translation Programme.
The Polish stand, organised by the Book Institute, has been very popular – visitors are attracted by the name of the new Nobel Prize winner, a refreshed look, as well as the attractive offerings of Polish exhibitors and the potential of our book market.
Frankfurter Buchmesse is the most important industry event in the publishing world. Every year around 300,000 visitors take part in it. Among them there will be the Polish Book Institute, which organizes the Polish stand. The honorary guest of this year’s edition is Norway. The official press conference on the occasion of the opening of the fair was attended by the Nobel Prize winner Olga Tokarczuk.
