Mariusz Szczygieł’s “Zrób sobie raj” in Slovak with the support of the Book Institute
In Slovakia, a translation of Mariusz Szczygieł’s reportage Zrób sobie raj (“Make Your Own Paradise”) has been published. The book was translated by Miroslav Zumrík. The edition was supported by the Book Institute as part of the ©POLAND Translation Programme.
The Book Institute supported the Estonian translation of “Drzewa” by Piotr Socha and Wojciech Grajkowski
In Estonia, a translation of Drzewa (“The Book of Trees”) has been published. The book was translated by Marius Peterson. The publication of the book by Piotr Socha (illustrations) and Wojciech Grajkowski (text) was supported by the Book Institute as part of the ©POLAND Translation Programme.
“Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead” in the final of the Warwick Prize for Women in Translation
The translation of Olga Tokarczuk’s novel Prowadź swój pług przez kości umarłych (“Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead”) by Antonia Lloyd-Jones made it to the shortlist of books nominated for the Warwick Prize for Women in Translation. The winners will be announced on November 20th.
