Today, we would like to remind you of the Book Institute’s work to promote the presence of Polish literature and culture, as well as works important to Ukrainians themselves, in Ukraine. The Book Institute has been supporting translations into Ukrainian consistently since the inception of the ©Poland Translation Programme, i.e. since 1998. To date, the Institute has helped to publish more than 220 translations. In no other country has the Book Institute’s support for publishing been so great.
A one-volume edition of Stanisław Lem’s works has recently been published in Ukraine, featuring the novels Astronauci (“The Austronauts”), Głos Pana (“His Master’s Voice”), and Wizja lokalna (“Observation on the Spot”). The publication was supported by the Book Institute as part of the ©POLAND Translation Programme.
The book Małe Licho i tajemnica Niebożątka (“Little Imp and the Secret of Niebożątek”) by Marta Kisiel has been recently published in Bulgaria. The publication of the book translated by Milena Mileva was supported by the Book Institute as part of the ©POLAND Translation Programme.
