In 2019, two translations of Hubert Klimko-Dobrzaniecki’s books were published. In the Czech Republic came out a collection of short stories Wariat (“Madman”), translated by Jiří Červenko, whereas Marzena Borejczuk introduced Italian readers to the novel Bornholm, Bornholm. The translation of both titles was supported by the Book Institute as part of the ©POLAND Translation Programme.
In Germany, a translation of reportage collection Tańczące niedźwiedzie (“Dancing Bears”) has been published. The book was translated by Joanna Manc. The publication of Witold Szabłowski’s book was supported by the Book Institute as part of the ©POLAND Translation Programme.
In Spain, a translation of Anna Kamińska’s book Wanda. Opowieść o sile życia i śmierci. Historia Wandy Rutkiewicz (”Wanda, a Tale of Life and Death: The Story of Wanda Rutkiewicz”) has been published. The book was translated by Miguel Cuesta. The edition was supported by the Book Institute as part of the ©POLAND Translation Programme.
