CommonWealth Education Media & Publishing in Taiwan has published a translation of Ewa Solarz and Robert Czajka’s book Earthlings. The publication of the translation into Traditional Chinese by Emilia Lin was supported by the Book Institute as part of the ©Poland Translation Program.
Earthlings is part of a report regularly prepared by the Aliens about all the planets. Using this humorous concept, the authors present information about Earth (one of an infinite number of planets) and its inhabitants (not as exceptional as they think) in an objective manner, using numerical data, avoiding evaluations and analyses.
The book – addressed to children, young people, parents and grandparents – makes readers aware that diversity is something universal and natural, it is an encouragement for joint reflection, to think about who we are – we, Earthlings and how we treat our planet.
Earlier, the Book Institute co-financed the translation of Earthlings into Spanish and Catalan (translated by Karolina Jaszecka and Xavier Farré, respectively).
