In Greece, a translation of Pszczoły (‘The Book of Bees’) was published. The book was translated by Agnieszka Barbara Czerwińska and Marianna Psychalou. The publication of the book by Piotr Socha (illustrations) and Wojciech Grajkowski (text) was supported by the Book Institute as part of the ©POLAND Translation Programme.
Μελισσεσ, as reads the Greek title of the book, was published by Philip Psihalos & Co Publishing in Athens.
The Book of Bees consists of more than 30 large-format pages, each of which is intricately composed. The colourful illustrations are full of details, and the short and easy-to-read text not only explains what can be found on them, but also contains a lot of additional information and curiosities.
Recently, with the support of the ©POLAND Translation Programme, there have also been published the translations of books by the Socha/Grajkowski duo into German (The Book of Trees, translated by Thomas Weiler), Swedish (The Book of Trees, translated by Tomas Håkanson), Hungarian (The Book of Bees, translated by Viktoria Kellermann), Spanish (The Book of Trees, translated by Katarzyna Moloniewicz and Abel Antolín Murcia Soriano), Slovenian (translated by Staša Pavlović), and Icelandic (The Book of Trees translated by Illugi Jökulsson).
