The invitation to Svět knihy was accepted by the winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature Olga Tokarczuk. The writer has already published several editions of her books in Czech. For the first time, her prose debut Podróż ludzi Księgi is being published in Czech. The translation by Petr Vidlák was published by Host just before the fair.

A strong accent of the Polish program will also be a meeting with the winner of the “Nike” Literary Award Zyta Rudzka. Her novel Ten się śmieje, kto ma zęby was recently published in Czech by Dokořán in a translation by Alžběta Knappová.

A representative of Polish reportage will also be present at the fair. The book Królowie strzelców. Piłka w cieniu imperium translated by Martina Veselka from the reportage series published by Absynt will be presented by its author Zbigniew Rokita.

Barbara Woźniak will take part in a discussion of V4 residents (Visegrad Literary Residencies) in Prague entitled Fatigue, Memory and Contemporary Society in Central European Literature.
