A translation of Dominika Słowik’s collection of short stories “Samosiejki” has been published in Belarus. The publication, translated by Alena Piatrowicz, was supported by the Book Institute as part of the ©POLAND Translation Program.
The book, whose title in translation is “Самасейкі”, was published by the Januškevič Publishing House in Minsk.
After the novels “Atlas: Doppelganger” and “Zimowla”, Dominika Słowik presents a book that listens to the moods of our era and emphasizes the absurdities of the reality surrounding us. In the series of short stories, which thanks to the metaphor of self-sown sowers can be read as a coherent literary story, she carefully records the whispers of nature, but also the climate catastrophe happening before our eyes.
Earlier, in 2022, Alena Piatrowicz, in collaboration with Uladź Liankiewicz, translated Dominika’s novel “Zimowla” (published by Januškevič Publishing House).
