Olga Tokarczuk and Szczepan Twardoch nominated for Europese Literatuurprijs 2020!

A long list of Europese Literatuurprijs 2020 has been announced. Nominated titles have been selected by fifteen bookshops from all over the Netherlands. Europese Literatuurprijs is awarded for the best European novel, which was published in Dutch last year.

In 2020, the prize will be awarded for the tenth time. The author of the winning novel will be awarded a prize of 10 000 EUR, and the translator will receive 5000 EUR.

The longlist of twenty books nominated for this year’s edition of the award includes the following works:
